Four picks if you can't decide

The strongest tour in each of the four lanes calanques visitors split into: a boat day, a guided hike to an actual beach, a kayak into the coves boats can't enter, and a catamaran for the full day at sea.

The full table

Filter by how you want to meet the water: boat tour, sailing & catamaran, kayak / SUP, guided hike, e-bike, dive / snorkel, or a Provence day trip that includes the coast. Tours labelled Côte Bleue in their name run on the other protected coast west of Marseille — beautiful, easier rules, but not the national park; their notes say so.

Tour Type Rating Reviews Duration From Book
From Marseille: Iconic Calanques Boat Tour with Swimming The most-booked calanques boat in Marseille by a wide margin — big-boat comfort, a real swim stop, and the reason it tops this table is 1,400+ people saying it delivered. Boat tour ★ 4.7 1409 $91 Book →
Marseille: Côte Bleue Calanques Half-Day Kayak Tour Top-rated kayak half-day — but note it paddles the Cote Bleue marine park west of Marseille, not the national park. Easier rules, same turquoise water. Kayak / SUP ★ 4.7 944 $69 Book →
Marseille: Calanques Côte Bleue Boat Tour with Swimming Swim-stop boat tour of the Cote Bleue calanques — honest label: that's the OTHER protected coast, not the national park. Pick it when the park side is wind-blown. Boat tour ★ 4.6 873 $77 Book →
Marseille: Calanques Catamaran Tour & Standup Paddle Catamaran day with stand-up paddle off the back — the sell-out flag is real in July-August. Book this one ahead; most Marseille boats can't be booked far out. Kayak / SUP ★ 4.8 699 $91 Book →
Marseille: boat to Le Frioul, Château d'If, and swim The Frioul + Chateau d'If combo with swimming — the islands stay open even on red fire-risk days, which makes this the best closure-proof booking in the pool. Boat tour ★ 4.6 613 $58 Book →
Marseille: Calanques National Park Guided Hike with Picnic Guided hike with picnic at ~$40 — the cheapest way to solve the two things that derail DIY visits: navigation and carrying enough water. Hike ★ 4.8 605 $40 Book →
From Marseille: Calanques National Park Guided Hike Same operator's core guided hike without the picnic — a fit if you'd rather pack your own lunch and save a few euros. Hike ★ 4.6 574 $40 Book →
From Bandol: Tour of the 13 calanques of Cassis & Marseille (3 hours 15 minutes at sea) Sails from Bandol, not Marseille — 13 calanques in 3h15 along the whole Cassis-Marseille coast. Good pick if you're staying east of the park. Day trip ★ 4.5 554 $54 Book →
Marseille: Sunset Sailing Cruise with Dinner and Wine Sunset dinner-and-wine sail — this is a sea-view dinner party, not a sightseeing circuit. Judge it as an evening out and it earns its rating. Sailing ★ 4.8 500 $92 Book →
Marseille: Calanques Boat Tour with Swimming, Buffet & Wine The buffet-and-wine flagship: a full day at sea with swim stops. At $135 you're paying for hours on the water, not just the route. Day trip ★ 4.8 479 $135 Book →

Marseille: Sunset Cruise with Dinner & Wine Top-rated sunset dinner cruise (4.9 over 300+ sailings) — the strongest rating in the sunset category. Sailing ★ 4.9 332 $96 Book →
From Bandol: Tour of the 7 calanques of Cassis & Marseille (2.5 hours at sea) The shorter Bandol option — 7 calanques in 2.5 hours. Commentary circuit, no landing anywhere (no boat may land inside the park). Day trip ★ 4.6 312 $49 Book →
Marseille: Half-Day E-Bike Tour from Cruise Port E-bike loop designed around the cruise port — if you're off a ship with 5-6 hours, this is the tightest way to actually see calanques terrain. E-bike ★ 4.7 288 $91 Book →
Marseille: Sunset Boat Cruise with Rosé Wine & Snacks Sunset cruise with rose and snacks — cheaper and shorter than the dinner sails; right if the light show matters more than the meal. Sailing ★ 4.6 283 $67 Book →
Marseille: Calanques Catamaran Cruise, Picnic, & Swimming Catamaran with picnic and swimming — the daytime sibling of the sunset boats, and one of the fastest-selling tours in this pool. Sailing ★ 4.8 257 $91 Book →

Marseille: Calanques Eco Boat Cruise with Lunch and Wine Eco-branded (hybrid) boat with lunch and wine — the lower-wake option for the same route; families with seasickness-prone kids report smoother rides. Day trip ★ 4.7 201 $149 Book →
Marseille: Signature Day Trip with Meal | Calanques de Marseille The premium all-day 'signature' trip with a proper meal — priciest of the day formats; you're buying a full curated day, not a circuit. Boat tour ★ 4.7 186 $141 Book →
Marseille: Evening Sailing Trip to the Calanques du Frioul with Buffet and Wine Evening sail to the Frioul calanques with buffet — top-rated, and Frioul's lee keeps evening sails running when the open coast is choppy. Sailing ★ 4.8 149 $92 Book →

From Aix: Cassis Boat Ride & Provence Wine Tasting Day Tour From Aix: Cassis boat ride plus Provence wine tasting — a half-boat, half-vineyard day; the calanques are the appetiser, not the main course. Day trip ★ 4.6 111 $241 Book →

The two Cosquer cave tickets (not in the table)

The Cosquer Méditerranée replica sells timed entry tickets rather than tours, so they don't fit the review-count table — but they're the best red-day booking in Marseille: entry ticket with audio guide, or the Cassis combo: calanques boat ride + Cosquer visit that pairs the real cliffs with the replica of what's beneath them.

How this table is built (and the disclosure)

We scraped every tour GetYourGuide files under the Calanques National Park, Marseille, Cassis and La Ciotat, then removed anything not genuinely about this coast — category pages here get padded with unrelated bestsellers, and we caught trips to Corsica's Calanques de Piana and the Verdon Gorge wearing the "calanques" label. The main table keeps tours with 50+ reviews and a 4.3★ floor, ranked by review volume; the rest stay visible in the niche list above rather than quietly deleted. Per-row notes are written by us from park regulations and operator smallprint — including which boats never stop, and which "calanques" trips run on the Côte Bleue instead.

Affiliate disclosure: booking links go to GetYourGuide and earn us a commission at no extra cost to you. Prices shown were captured on 30 July 2026 and drift — the booking page is the truth. No operator paid for placement or a nicer note.
